Hace Calor

Today started at 6:15. I had my usual breakfast, a granola bar, and was off for the day. It is super hot here, and has not rained in about a week. This is very rare, since it is the rainy season here, and normally rains at least once a day for this time of year. I went to one of the younger girls' circle this morning. I love it! Every once in a while, you would get a little breeze which would feel great. All of the Auburn volunteers left today, but me. It was sad to see them go. They fly out tomorrow, from San Pedro Sula, but had to travel today since it takes so long to get there from here, and spend the night in a hotel tonight. For toddler duty this morning, I decided to take them to the store. Michell helped me and a few other older girls met up with us their. We had drinks and suckers. We are expecting a new shipment for the store any day now. They love to put their suckers in their drinks and then eat it. Out of the six toddlers we took to the store, no one wet their pants and only two drinks were spilled. It was a great morning. Not too much happened today. We were expecting a container shipment today, but now are supposedly getting it tomorrow. It is always neat to see what comes on the container. It is like opening a rolling store. Hopefully it will rain soon. We really need the rain! I love and miss you all!

Hey, Hope,

I am sure you are getting excited to see your family this weekend. I told your mom that you should do a photo book along with your journal about this very special trip when you come back. I hope you will enjoy the last week in Honduras with your family. Have a safe trip back home!!

Hope to see you soon~

Hi Hope:

I know it is sad to see all of your friends leave. What an experience it has been with them!

I can feel the heat as I am reading your blog. One of things I remember from last year is that it seems like you can't get away from the bugs and heat. Sounds like you are doing pretty good with the bugs though!

Sound like you had a great morning with the toddlers (compared to your previous blogs!)

I know you will be busy when the container comes. Be careful.

I told you several blogs ago that we were "preparing" to pack. Now, we are "panicking" about packing. We are behind, but we will be there Monday.

I hope it rains soon for you (and for us too!)

I love the pictures. Thanks for the pig shots. They look very dirty but happy!

I love you very much and can't wait to see you....only 4 more days, Dad

well you finially got to see the baby pigs, they sure are cute.i know it is hard for you with all the "auburn"folks gone but in just a few days you'll have more auburn folks than you can shake a stick at.
it has been less humid the last few dAYS AND realy comfortable sitting on the porch and drinking my cofee. i continue on at the pool and feel better i mostly get in trouble right now if i sit too long.
the hurst girls did real well picking blueberries at the randall farms we got about 2 gallons in about an hour. we were all eating picking and putting in buckets my fingers were slightly blue when we finished.
i wonder if ya'll will have to leave early too,i know how much everyone loves to stay with the kids and the services.
love,
e

Dear Hopey,
Snot, dirty diapers, tantrums from little ones, attitudes from older ones- - -what adventures into temporary motherhood you have had this mission trip! Reading your blogs each day reminds me just how grateful I am that those days are behind me!!!

Guess what? Tweetsie has a caller (boyfriend). I think he scared her a bit yesterday morning with his aggressiveness. Late afternoon while Anky and I were out on the patio, each sipping a cool one, with Tweetsie fliting back and forth from Anky's to my chair, he sat high up in one of our backyard trees calling her and looking down at the three of us. He must have been thinking, how can she fraternize with those humans?

She has stolen our hearts. Can you tell? Sweetie Pie is curious, but not amuzed!! She doesn't like sharing our attention!!! We can easily tell it in her expressions and actions.

Your family is so anxious to join you. Hope they get everything done here and also some sleep tonight. That is the worst part of any trip - - getting everything taken care of at home, so you can leave.

Must sign off. Love, Hugs,& Kisses BUT NO RASPBERRIES!!! CIS
